Admission to Villa Santa Maria is based on the needs of the child and family. Our continual effort to support healthy choices begins at admission. It is important for all of those involved in the admission decision to feel that the Villa is the appropriate placement for the child.

VSM accepts boys and girls between the ages of five and fourteen. Children that succeed in our program often exhibit behavioral and personality disturbances which may include the following:

Children who can greatly benefit from Villa Santa Maria are those with Reactive Attachment Disorder and require an environment in which closeness with an adult is non negotiable and twenty four hour attention is available.

Conditions contraindicating admission include significantly low intelligence quotient and substance abuse requiring supervised detoxification.
